Multimodal Studio creates bespoke, interactive multisensory sculptures and immersive experiences at the intersection of art, music, science and technology.
We are a team of artists who build ambitious installations which integrate digital and physical; generative & real-time video, kinetic & light sculptures, interactive installations, environmental lighting and projection mapping.
We produce commissioned work for festivals, music videos, exhibitions, venue installations and public arts.
We run a variety of ongoing experiments, including our own standalone events such as MUD residency & festival in the south of France.
We interrogate the cultural relevance of scientific phenomena and mathematical concepts; from chaos and complexity theory, to multimodal integration in the neuroscience of perception. We aim to synthesise environments which reflect the dynamics and mechanisms of broader systems in nature.
Multimodal is a project by MW. Currently operating from an independent studio & workshop in Blackhorse Lane, London.
Previous projects include Sensing Systems, 2020 | Leftlion article.
