Multimodal creates large-scale immersive experiences at the intersection of art, science and technology.

We are a team of artists who build ambitious installations for arts and live music environments, including generative and responsive video, pixel-mapped lighting, bespoke light sculptures, interactive installations, projection mapping and everything in between.

We produce commissioned work for festivals, music videos, exhibitions, venue installations and public arts activity.

We also run our own standalone event series which explores broad scientific phenomena and mathematical concepts; from chaos and complexity theory, to multimodal integration in the neuroscience of perception. The events harness real-time, generative systems to synthesise environments which reflect the dynamics and mechanisms of the wider, omnipresent systems in nature.

Multimodal is a project by MW and is a long-term collaborator with music promoter Wigflex. Currently working out of a studio at One Thoresby Street in Nottingham.

Previous projects include Sensing Systems, 2020Leftlion article.
